Proposals Received for 2019 County AGM

 Cambridgeshire Darts Organisation AGM Proposals

  Proposed By Seconded By :

Constitution/Membership :

I would like the committee to prove to the members that all the Constitution Rules they recently changed were proposed and seconded and voted in, at an AGM or EGM, with a minimum of 75% majority, which is needed to change a Constitution.

Providing the minutes of a previous AGM or EGM can prove the above, the new Constitution can be used, if there is no evidence of the correct procedure being followed to change the Constitution, no Helpers are allowed to speak, Vote or propose any matters, they remain associate members with Super League Members.

An explanation of this matter will be given by the Executive Committee at the AGM.

Barbara Greatbatch Leanne Topper

Elected Officials :

I propose that the Executive Officers (as determined by the Organisation) shall be elected for two year periods at the AGM with 50% of each position being voted on bi-annually.

I propose that in 2019 the Chairman and Treasurer are elected for one year and then they are up for election on each even numbered year from 2020 for two year periods.

I propose that in 2019 the Vice Chairman and County Organiser are elected for a period of two years and from 2021 they are up for election on each odd numbered year for periods of two years.

Peter Melton Ian Tilley

Selector :

3 Ladies select both the Ladies A and B teams and 3 Men select both the Mens A and B teams.

I propose Ronnie Johnson is the chief selector for the Ladies and Leanne Topper as a selector. Ian Tilley is chief selector for the men.

I also propose that no other Committee Member is present on either selection panels.

Social Media :

Social Media is not to be used for derogatory comments against other players, committee and members of Cambridgeshire County. Also postings on Cambridgeshire Media Pages should only be used for contacting, congratulating and/or informing members of events that could be of interest. Any person that makes comments that are detrimental or derogative will be removed from the site and blocked.

Nadine Bentley Peter Melton
Social Media :

Cambridgeshire Darts Organisation make it very clear to their playing squad and officials that social media postings about players or the situation within the County as a whole will not be permitted. Too much has been said this last season and very offensive. If you asked people the questions politely you would have the answers. Failure to comply with this would be dealt with at once.

Also a warning of this should be inserted in the programmes and if this voted in and with the necessary figures, perhaps this could be placed in the Constitution for the forthcoming season 2019/20 and thereafter.

Vote of No Confidence Procedure

A proposal was received, regarding a vote of no confidence, however we do not have any rules to cover this within our Constitution, we also consulted with the BDO and they do not have any rules to cover this matter either. We also looked at rules used by the GER and online searches gave guidance from political parties, but none of these were appropriate for our Organisation

The Executive Committee therefore propose that a procedure is debated and adopted at the County AGM, so the matter can be dealt with,  using rules as agreed by the members.
